Oh my goodness - time flies! Can't even count how many fosters we've had over the last year. A couple litters of pups and countless kittens. I'll work on updates, but let's just say this has been the "buggy" year... Some sort of "no-see-um" had taken over. Not fleas, chiggers, mosquitoes, or scabies... What then? No one knows. Treated everything and everyone and eventually the critters left but we have some scars... Oh, and also the ringworm was really bad this year. Looking forward to a quieter house for the Fall. Love these babies but need some time to regroup!

OK, we have our 5 dogs (King, Phoebe, Willy, Watsy and Minnie). Then there's Nikki, Ember and Echo, our cats. Baggie and Juju are here for now but are fixing to go be barn cats. 6 kittens in the cat cage & Yuki - mama cat running around. Juno the great dane and her 11 puppies. Stellaluna & Cuteness. Boom Boom will be coming back in a few days. So, that's 32, right? Oh, and Mikey and Ava are at Petco, but they'll be back for visits...

More puppies in 2009

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. We've had a bazillion animals in here in the past year. I'll try to do better now. It's ironic that last year on Aug 28, I had 12 puppies pop into my life and then this year on Sept. 1, another dozen!! Delilah's litter were born in my closet with no major issues. Of course we lost precious Midas around 4-5 weeks, to parvo. This time it's Juno and she had to have help. Poor girl had to have a c-section after delivering 2 at home. Then she had to have another abdominal surgery when she bloated. We also lost a puppy at 4 weeks. Sweet Pax, don't really know what happened - just passed in his sleep. In between batches of puppies, there's been pups and kittens, cats and dogs... I know I've fostered over a hundred, but quit counting. I love them all but puppies wear me out! Thank heaven no parvo this time! We're being a lot more careful!

There's never a dull moment around here. As of today, there are 18 dogs (12 are itty bitty babies) and 5 cats (1 lives outside and has decided she likes the neighbors backyards better!).
